Abstract: Using CiteSpace visualization tool and co-occurrence analysis method, this paper takes 73,240 papers in the field of atmospheric science from Web of Science during 2015-2019 as samples, and analyzes the co-occurrence and scientific research cooperation mode among countries, institutions and authors. Research topics and research cooperation situation in the field of international atmospheric science are dynamically displayed. The results show that international scholars pay more attention to the research in the field of atmospheric science, and the number of literatures shows an increasing trend year by year. 80% of the international atmospheric science papers are distributed in 20% of the mainstream journals, showing a central-discrete trend. The countries with the strongest scientific research strength are the United States, China, Germany and the United Kingdom, and the scientific research cooperation among these countries is relatively close, showing a strong alliance cooperation trend. The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology nurture the world's top research teams. High-influence scholars in the field have formed a number of strong and stable research cooperation teams.
