Abstract: Based on the history of the British Science Festival, this paper discusses and summarizes the basic experience of the British Science Festival in terms of the main holder, main content, funding sources, personnel structure, reward system, evaluation system, etc. It also explores the operation experiences in the organizational system, supporting system, form and content. Relatively speaking, through the relevant comparative analysis, the characteristics and advantages of China’s science festival are discussed, such as giving full play to the national system, deepening the experience of science popularization, cultivating innovative culture, and promoting the spirit of science. Finally ,the experiences of the British Science Festival in terms of social participation, evaluation mechanism, popular science exhibits, international exchanges, resource sharing, and popular science rewards are discussed.
