Abstract: As a new generation display technology, Micro LED has become the focus of global display industry competition due to its characteristics of high brightness, high resolution, and low power consumption. This paper conducts a patent analysis of global Micro LED technology based on patentometrics and the BERTopic model, systematically sorting out the current development status and trends across multiple dimensions, including technology distribution, major innovators, technical topics, legal status, and patent value distribution. The research indicates that China dominates the global patent application volume, but high-value patents are still concentrated in developed countries such as the United States and Japan; The six major areas of patent technology are display devices, quantum dots/full-color, display applications, materials and components, chips, and display screens; Key technologies such as mass transfer and full-color display are still in the breakthrough stage, and the industrial ecosystem requires further improvement; The deep integration of optoelectronics and integrated circuits, artificial intelligence and other electronic information technologies further drives the development of Micro LED technology towards high precision and high integration. Based on the analysis results, this paper proposes suggestions from the aspects of core technology breakthroughs, industry university-research cooperation mechanisms, differentiated application scenarios, and enhancement of international competitiveness, providing strategic references for high-quality development of Micro LED industry in China.
